Process Server Registration Requirements

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All corporate officers/general partners are required to sign the application. If unable to appear in person, you will need to provide a paper application with original signatures. (Please see reception for paper application.)

A Process Server registration is required for any corporation or partnership that derives or expects to derive compensation from service of process in this state.

Note: Employees are not covered under a corporation/partnership registration. Corporate officers or general partners who will be serving process must also file and post bond as “Individual”.

Corporate officer or general partner appearing in person must present the following:

  • a valid government issued identification
  • a bond in the amount of $2,000 naming the corporation/partnership as principal, providing the term of two (2) years, must include commencement date and expiration date, and must state it is in favor of Riverside County
  • pursuant to BPC 22351.5, LiveScan for all corporate officers or general partners
  • No felony convictions unless applicant can provide a “Certificate of Rehabilitation,” “Certificate of Expungement,” or “Certificate of Pardon” for each conviction. If this qualification is not met, registration may be revoked.
  • completed original application if not all corporate officers or general partners are appearing in person
  • principal place of business or residential address must be located in the County of Riverside

Corporation/Partnership Process Server Registration Fee: $208.00
(includes recording/filing fee of a single-sided, single-page bond but may vary)
Each additional page of the bond: $3.00
Replacement identification card: $10.00
