Process Server Registration Requirements

Business and Professions Code 22350-22360

A Process Server registration is required for individuals who for specific compensation make more than ten services of process within this state during a calendar year.

The applicant must present the following:

  • a valid government issued identification
  • a bond in the amount of $2,000 naming the registrant as principal, providing the term of two (2) years, must include commencement date and expiration date, and must state it is in favor of Riverside County
  • pursuant to BPC 22350, the registrant will be required to submit a completed LiveScan application
  • No felony convictions unless applicant can provide a “Certificate of Rehabilitation,” “Certificate of Expungement,” or “Certificate of Pardon” for each conviction. If this qualification is not met, registration may be revoked.
  • principal place of business or residential address must be located in the County of Riverside

Individual Process Server Registration Fee: $208.00
(includes recording/filing fee of a single-sided, single-page bond but may vary)
Each additional page of the bond: $3.00
Replacement identification card: $10.00
